Rev. Mark Boyd
Rev. Mark Boyd has countless years of professional ministry, most recently as the Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of St. Albans. Before that, he served churches in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, PA, and Milton, WV. In addition to parish ministry, Rev. Boyd served as a Chaplain at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Rev. Boyd has served at almost all levels of leadership within the denomination. He is currently the Chair of the WV Presbytery Stewardship Committee. Previously, he was a member-at-large of PC(USA)’s Committee on the Office of the General Assembly (COGA) and served multiple committees in his previous presbytery. He served on the executive board of Presbyterians for Middle East Peace (PFMEP) and is the President of the executive board for Pathways4Peace.
Rev. Boyd completed his Master of Divinity degree at Palmer Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA. He also earned a BBA in Marketing from Marshall University. He has completed five units of CPE training and engaged in advanced study in social work at the Catholic University of America.
Rev. Boyd and his wife, Jaime, have four children, three of which live with them. They have a daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in Apopka, FL. He is an avid fan of The Thundering Herd, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, and the NY Yankees.
