Director of Sunday Children’s Ministry

First Presbyterian’s Director of Sunday Morning Children’s Ministry is Nan Price.  Nan is relatively new to the staff however has many years of experience working with children in a church setting.  She has held positions in various church denominations in ministry as a youth and children’s director plus she has had a close association with the Girl Scouts over the years.  She participated in a program at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary/Athenenum of Ohio for certification in Theology and Pastorial Counseling while she lived in Cincinnati, Ohio   Nan grew up in Charleston, WV and has lived in Ohio, Kentucky and Texas.  She has five grown children and eight grandchildren. Her favorite outreach activity is helping with the Wednesday evening intergenerational LOGOS program.

On Sunday morning Nan’s goals for the children are to instill a love and hunger for the word of God and help them establish a strong relationship with Jesus, plus loving relationships with other children. She also seeks to help the children in her charge put their faith skills into action through worship, prayer, service, Bible study and giving while always seeking to do God’s will.

Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of compassion.
