This statement, attributed to St. Francis of Assisi, provides the motivation for FPC missions.
Our vision for missions is, “We make God’s love real.”
Our mission work locally, regionally, and globally is guided by the following convictions:
- Service to Others: The number one characteristic of our ministry to the community and the world is service to others. We live God’s love by compassionately serving others through concrete, tangible, and visible acts of kindness.
- Mission Partnerships: We are convinced that mission work is done best in long-term partnerships. We establish mission partnerships that will grow and last a lifetime. By leveraging our gifts, talents, and resources with those who are doing front line mission work, our impact in the community and world is greatly increased.
- Personal, Hands-on Ministry: We believe those who claim Jesus as Lord and Savior must be involved in some manner in mission and service. We seek to provide our members with opportunities and encouragement to engage in hands-on mission experiences.
- Transform Lives: The local church is the hope of the world. It is through faith in Christ that lives are transformed. FPC’s vision is to impact the local community with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ and to transform lives through the power of faith in Jesus Christ.
