FPC TALKS – Carolyn Shaw Mankins

My guest this afternoon is Mrs. Carolyn Shaw Mankins. Mrs. Mankins is a lifelong member of First Presbyterian and has spent many years being an active participant in the life of the church. I have gotten to know Mrs. Mankins over the past few years as she and Mr. Bob Vital have led the middle school evening Bible study at our weekly Wednesday night Logos program. I would come in at the very end of that group after the kids had calmed down and I would play some games with them. Carolyn has been a member of the leadership of this church, serving on the session as well as the deacons multiple times over many years. Most recently, she served on the Pastor Nominating Committee and helped to hire our new minister, the Reverend Dr. Parrish L. Bridges.
