Rev. Doug Pendleton
The Rev. Doug Pendleton is no stranger to FPC. When he’s not assisting another church, he is worshipping with us. Most Wednesdays during the school year, you will find him serving as a table parent at LOGOS.
Doug was born in New York City but, at the age of six months, became a Virginian when his family moved to Richmond. He grew up in Richmond, where he graduated from the University of Richmond and from the Union Presbyterian Seminary. He moved to Huntington in 1994 to attend a Chaplaincy training program at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Doug was ordained in the PCUSA on November 24, 1996.
In the years following his move to Huntington, Doug has served as a Chaplain at Hospice of Huntington, Cabell Huntington Hospital, and St. Mary’s Medical Center. He has also served temporary pastorates in Dunlow, Gilbert, and Williamson, as well as helping with numerous churches around the Huntington area. He has completed training in Spiritual Direction, and he works with Huntington’s Quick Response Team.
Doug enjoys outdoor activities, camping, and hiking.
